Creating A Blogging Site - How A Blog Will Make You Dollars

Posted On 9:28 AM by steering to online 0 comments

Starting a weblog can be a challenging task if not done correctly. There are over 50 million web site on the web-based and if you want your website to stand out you have to do it right the first time.

Top Ten Things to Consider When Setting Up You Blog Site:
  1. Study other peoples blog design. When you want to build your blog site, go take a look at other blogs in the area you are thinking about building your blog site around. For example, if you wanted to build a website.
  2. Choose a topic for your blog. One of the hardest parts about setting up a blog page is deciding what to website about. One of the best ways to pick a topic for your weblog is to think about things you are interested in doing. If you have an interest in a topic, you can bet others have an interest in the same topic. We are all good at something. We all have hobbies are things we like to do. Why not make some money off those interests.
  3. Add a Disclaimer to Your Blog site. New FCC rules now require all sites promoting a product to display a legal statement. The Federal Trade Commission today announced that it has approved final revisions to the guidance it gives to advertisers on how to keep their endorsement and testimonial ads in line with the FTC Act. The notice incorporates several changes to the FTC's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, which address endorsements by consumers, experts, organizations, and celebrities, as well as the disclosure of important connections between advertisers and endorsers.
  4. Start blogging and complete 20 posts before going to marketing. Before you go public with your weblog, write 20 short articles about the main topic of your weblog. When writing your topics think about the person on the other end reading your post. You don't have to be an English Major, but make sure what you write about is interesting.
  5. Begin Marketing Your Blog. This is one of the most difficult parts about blogging. There are thousands of ways to promote your blog. My advice to you when it comes to marketing your web site is to research marketing techniques online. You will find hundreds of products and ebooks about marketing.
  6. Get Traffic to Your Blog site. This is another area of blogging that takes a lot of time to perfect. Just because you build a blog page doesn't mean people will come and visit your blog page. Also, you don't want just anyone to visit your blog. You want to get targeted traffic to your weblog. Regularly monitor the coming ins and outs of readers and get updates. Then, measure your results.
  7. Get Backlink To Your Blog. One way to get more visitors to your blog is to have plenty of backlinks leading to your blog. Backlinks may sound like a foreign term to those just starting a blog, but trust me once you start blogging you will become very familiar with backlinks. The key here is to not just get backlinks leading to your blog, but to get high quality backlinks. If you are not familiar with backlinks, I highly recommend you learn what they are all about and make them a daily priority. Let me explain what exactly backlinks are, how you can get them, and why they are so important. A back link is a one way link or URL that is on someone else's website or blog. They call it a backlink or one-way inbound links because it is pointing back to a different website. If I were to leave a comment on someone else's blog, I would leave my website URL on that blog so people can find my website. That URL that I left behind would be considered and counted as one back link.
  8. Strive to be consistent with your blog topic all the time. Writing good articles to place on your blog is very important. Most people feel that article writing is hard to accomplish, but it's not.
  9. Try to have unrelated topics with general and broad appeal to your blog.
  10. Schedule updates regularly on your blog. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday would be best to update blogs.

Once you have done all these things, you can now ultimately enjoy the benefits of blogging.

How to Keep Your Blog Updated

Posted On 9:14 AM by steering to online 1 comments

One of the more difficult things to do while putting up a blog is to keep its freshness. If you wish to get enough traffic successfully along with readers and fans, you need to ensure that your blog always offers something new along with something exciting. Just supplying quality content will not be enough. You need to publish the content and the entire blog in a good and refreshing manner. In case the people visiting the blog find it to be boring, it's quite likely that they will not come back and perhaps will not even read the rest of the blog. This will result in you losing readership and page views. All your hard work in creating the good content will go to waste. So, how to keep your blog fresh? Te answer is simple: Put forth sufficient commitment and try being creative.

Commitment to the blog can be wonderful as you will get to make money on the internet. Commitment means giving enough time to read on and also research quality posts and potential blog content. You must browse the best and quality blogs and note what makes them so popular. Find out by carefully examining, how they are presenting information for attracting readers. This will definitely give you a good idea about what is required in your blog. And you can continue on to browse through the many resources. In addition to this, here are some tips for keeping your blog fresh:

  •  The reader feedback is must: There is no better way to understand which blog posts will draw in more traffic and hold readers than just asking them. Remember, the web readers are very responsive and acquiring information and opinions from them will not be too difficult. They will let you know the topics that will push them away and the subjects they like to talk about. This will make it easy for you to decide the choice of your subject by looking at the number of users suggesting the topic. It is a simple and effective way of deciding your content on the basis of popularity
  • Select the right blogs for examining: Have you heard of angry blog syndrome? Ensure that you stay away from the blogs that are cynical about almost anything. These will not help in developing creativity. As a matter of fact these "angry" blogs affect your mentality in such a manner that your blog posts also begin to turn out in a similar manner. Refrain yourself from visiting these sites. Learn to judge which blogs are good and which are not. By studying the quality and recommended blogs you will learn what is necessary.
  • Have some other persons guest post on the blog: If you are running short of new ideas or just plain not in a mood to write, have someone guest blog on the blog. This is useful in building rapport with the users. Feature some user for supplying their very own post. This gradually builds the lifeline of your blog. The users feel more comfortable with your blog as it is like being their own.

And lastly, you can keep your writing momentum up by just writing again and again. Note down any new ideas and just note anything that comes to your mind. In due time, it will become easier to write on any subject of any nature. Once you get in the flow of writing you will find it easy to make money on internet.

Do You Have A Blogging Schedule?

Posted On 12:37 PM by steering to online 0 comments

One of the important steps to successful blogging is to create valuable content on a regular basis. When you do that, you'll attract more traffic to your blog and establish yourself as a leader. Here's why :
  1. Your readers will realise that your blog is a source of valuable information and practical solutions to their problems and keep coming back for more.
  2. Search engines such as Google, are always looking for the freshest, most relevant content to show in the search results. The more you create content for your blog, the better chance you stand of getting it recognised by the search engines.
Simply put, regular quality content on your blog means increased traffic and more money in your pocket!

To achieve this, you need to create a blogging schedule that you'll stick to in order to turn your blog into a cash generating platform. Isn't this obvious?

Sadly not. I come across a lot of bloggers who are not seeing any significant results with blogging and when I look at their blogs I see that they are not consistent with writing their posts. What do I mean?
  1. Some write a post once in a while, like once in two months or so,
  2. Some write posts for several consecutive days then struggle to maintain the pattern,
  3. Some have completely abandoned their blogs, not adding any content but still promoting them.

Now, these bloggers have one thing in common -- they are hoping for some traffic to come their way and turn that traffic into profits. How can that be? Are they consistent? Nope!

If you are really serious about blogging and want to turn your blog into a source of decent income, then create a schedule right after reading this post. Don't put it off any minute, otherwise it will never happen. Make a commitment to do it and put it on paper.

So, how often should you write posts then? I hear you ask... Glad you asked as this is one of the common questions I get from new bloggers.

The key is to develop a blogging schedule that is line with your circumstances and goals. There would be no point in aiming for two posts daily and fail to achieve that due to your other commitments. I personally recommend 2-3 quality posts a week. When my blog was still new, I used to produce up to 5 posts a week and now I write at least 2 posts a week without fail.

My publishing days are Mondays and Fridays. I would then publish a bonus post on a Wednesday. I have maintained this routine for a long time now and I am so used to it. So used to it, that I don't even need a reminder :)

Now, the other thing that bloggers struggle with is the writer's block. In fact this is what makes it difficult for many people to have a blogging schedule and actually stick to it. If you are one of those bloggers, keep a list of blogging ideas and study other bloggers in your niche.

Here are some key points that will help you to kick-start your new blogging routine:
  1. It all starts with planning. Make time for blogging and add it to your current schedule. How you do this will depend mostly on how important blogging is for you and what you want to achieve with your blog.
  2. Choose the exact days that you want to publish on rather than being all over the place with your posts.
  3. Keep a list of ideas for your future posts running. There is always something to write about!
  4. Don't put yourself under pressure to generate new content. Plan ahead. I always have draft posts ready to be published. Having your posts ready before the actual publishing day also works well.
  5. Review your blogging schedule and make necessary adjustments to suit your circumstances and objectives. Remember it's all about quality than quantity. Your goal should be to create current and quality content in a consistent manner.
If at any given time, you have a downtime on your blog, i.e. a long period of time without adding new content, then you'll lose your readers and potential income! People will simply not return to your blog and will search for other good blogs instead.

It's your turn now. If you have a blogging schedule, leave me a comment below and let me know how that is going for you. If you don't have one, I would love to hear from you too -- leave me a comment below with any questions or thoughts.

How do I Start a Blog? Starting a Blog and Making Money from it Covered!

Posted On 1:30 AM by steering to online 0 comments

Finally, you are going to get the answer to the questions, how do I start a blog? This is a question that many new internet marketers ask and to be honest many people do not figure out how to do this until much later than they would like. Blogging can be worth a lot of income to you and if you know how to get one started, then you can monetize it and start making an income online.

The first step to start up your blog is to pick a platform for it. You can use wordpress or blogger. These are probably the most popular two out there and with wordpress you can host your own blog on your own domain name, but this will cost you a little money to purchase the domain and hosting for the blog. With blogger you cannot do this, however, you can start a blog for free very easily and blogger is very popular.

The second step in answering the question, how do i start a blog, is to figure out what your blog will be about. If you are trying to make money from your blog, then this is a very important step because you need to make sure you pick a subject that is able to make you cash. You might want to start off with something you love or are passionate about so that you can get the basics of blogging down.

The last step is to write posts, design your blog, and monetize it. The written content is probably the most important part because this is why you will get visitors and this is what will get you listed in the search engines. The design is easy to choose and you can either use a wordpress theme or a blogger theme depending on which platform you are working with. Monetizing your blog is also easy and can be done with affiliate products, the amazon associates program, or Google Adsense.

Create A Blog

Posted On 9:58 PM by steering to online 0 comments

Short for web log, create a blog to express yourself to the world. For anyone that has ever put a pen to paper, or even had an opinion in their head can, and should, create a blog. Blogs are perfect for practically any thought ever expressed. Good or bad. Blogs are freedom of speech on steroids. Where else can your share your thoughts on everything from civil war to civil rights? You can create a blog about your dogs eating habits. Your topic is only limited to your imagination.

Blogs are truly the essence of the internet , they provide an automatic audience for what ever you would like to share with the world, it's like an electronic soap box. As the technology advances, I can't imagine what blogs will be like in 20 years. You can create a blog with pictures, movies, audio and obviously the written word, which still is the most powerful.

It is truly amazing how far the internet has come, and yet we are just getting started. Just think, there was a point in time, not that long ago I might add, that it was widely believed that no one would need a computer in their house. Now some people take them with them where ever they go. When you create a blog, you are creating a time capsule of what ever you want and letting the world see it as it is being created. The first thing that you should do is read as many blogs as you can before you create a blog. This way you can see the different ways people express themselves to give you ideas on how far you want to go..
Another incredible thing about blogs, is that you don't have to learn how to speak another language to create a blog. You can have a blog up and running in about 5 minutes at no cost. It only make sense that google would jump both feet into the blog world, if they didn't invent it, they sure helped make it what it is today. Blogger, which is run by google, has made it as easy as they possibly could to create a blog, in just under 10 clicks of a mouse you can be telling your story to the world.

Who would have ever thought that you could get paid for writing about the events of your life? When you create a blog, companies are more than happy to pay you a commission for customers that you send to their web site. Once again, google has made that process very simple. With google AdSense, you agree to put advertisements on your blog, and when someone clicks on that advertisement you earn a commission. Depending on how many visitors you get to your blog, you can earn a good amount of money for basically doing nothing..

One word of advice, well maybe two words of advice are, DO IT. You might think that you can't write, but I can tell you once you get started it will come easy to you. Don't worry about spelling or grammar, just get started. The world is waiting to here your story about how you feel about world affairs or affairs of your world.
